Why
ArgusLeaf is built by a solo developer and intentionally keeps no venture funding, no enterprise upsell, no investor. That means server costs — CT log processing, database storage, email delivery — come from somewhere. Right now, that somewhere is personal expenditure.
If ArgusLeaf is useful to you, a contribution helps keep it running, independent, and free for organisations that need it.
Costs
Monthly infrastructure costs (approximate):
A year of keeping ArgusLeaf running costs less than a single hour of most security consultancy firms.
Donate
Recurring monthly or one-time. Preferred — GitHub handles payment, we receive the full amount. URL will be added when the page is live.
One-time "buy me a coffee." No account needed. Simple and fast.
Write to [email protected] for bank details. Preferred for larger contributions — zero platform fees.
Accountability
When donations exceed operating costs in a given month, the surplus goes into a reserve fund for:
We'll publish a simple annual transparency report. We're not a non-profit, but we'll behave like one.
No money? No problem.
The best thing you can do if you can't donate is tell a colleague or organisation that certificate transparency monitoring exists, and that ArgusLeaf offers it free. The threat of brand impersonation via CT logs is real and widely underestimated.
Contact us at [email protected] if you'd like to collaborate on getting the word out.
