ArgusLeaf is built by a solo developer and intentionally keeps no venture funding, no enterprise upsell, no investor. That means server costs — CT log processing, database storage, email delivery — come from somewhere. Right now, that somewhere is personal expenditure.

If ArgusLeaf is useful to you, a contribution helps keep it running, independent, and free for organisations that need it.

When donations exceed operating costs in a given month, the surplus goes into a reserve fund for:

• Increasing CT log processing capacity
• Commissioning independent security audits of our codebase
• Contributing to open-source CT monitoring libraries

We'll publish a simple annual transparency report. We're not a non-profit, but we'll behave like one.

The best thing you can do if you can't donate is tell a colleague or organisation that certificate transparency monitoring exists, and that ArgusLeaf offers it free. The threat of brand impersonation via CT logs is real and widely underestimated.
